Building a bar in SL

I am in a group that is trying to build a swim-up bar in Second life.  Yesterday each of us went into second life to figure out what to do.  Each of us took different tasks.  Some people looked for free stuff, others looked for storage and land, and I decided to figure out how to build things (particularly a bar). I teleported to some weird island that had a lot of different stuff on it like tents, and signs and weird stuff.  I didn’t know where I was but I found a some land by the ocean with nothing on it so I started building.  I have never built anything on second life before prior to this experience so I had no clue what I was doing.  I used the build feature and was instantly confused.  After some time playing around I got better with it and really got the hang of it by the end of class. I ended up building a pretty nice bar and I even made two bar stools.  I figured we would have to build the bar so I thought I would try.  Anyways, that is all I did and I think the build feature is pretty cool, I’m still a rookie, but I can see with practice and a lot of time on my hands, I could build cool things.
