Sidra Lawrence, Instructor of Ethnomusicology, won both the African Music Section and Wong Tolbert prizes at the Society for Ethnomusicology national meeting for her 2010 paper “Sounds of Development? Race, Authenticity and Tradition among Dagara Women of Northwestern Ghana.”
