Idea- Short heist film. In the style of a Oceans. The story revolves around the main character as he prepares for a con. Dialog will be banter between the conman and his boss over the phone. We will show this conversation through different shots that will split up the screen, showing what the conman is doing and what hiss boss is doing.
Equipment- We will use Kirby’s camera. DSLR style camera. We will need some audio equipment like a mic.
Cast- two male actors
Shoot- We are planning to shoot either during the week or weekend after thanksgiving brake. Then spend the rest of the time editing.
Final Video Project
Posted in Projects on November 14th, 2012 by chrispwFor the final project I am working on s short video in the style of a heist film. However the story is more like an intro. Where the main character is on the phone being given his mission. And, to show the main character, his boss, and the actions going on the film will be divided up by split screens. Starting out with two and then getting more complex. I feel this will only take one camera, and maybe some light audio equipment. Most of the work will be done in post where we will put the different shots into the split screens.

Project Proposal
Posted in Projects on September 13th, 2012 by chrispwFor my Still Image Story I plan on telling a short simple story about a women preparing a fancy dinner. It follows her as she cooks the food and prepares her place for the arrival of a stranger who we never quite see. The story progression may be simple, but there will be another aspect to this short. I want to focus on Block’s idea of space. For example, I would like to start of the story with simple shots of flat space, and one point perspective. Then as the story goes on the shots will get deeper and add more perspective. I hope this use of more complex shots will strengthen the story telling.
