First Photos

To day me and a partner form my class took several photos. We had to experiment with things like shutter speed, exposure, and est. Here is one that I really liked.

I really liked the shadow effect. I was trying to get a shot for our low angle but it ended up looking better for our silhouette. I also like how Matt fames the one edge of the shot

Picture Discussion

I found this picture on line as I looked through an album of QT Luong’s and it stood out. Manly because of the fact that for our definition project I had to look up depth of field, and I felt it was a good example of a deep focus. Not only can you focus on the foreground, where you can see the log and the rocky shore of the lake, but you also get a good look at the other end of the lake and the mountains in the background. It shows the scale of the landscape but in terms of depth instead of width. It is like it has the same effect to me as a panoramic shot except the scale is in a different dimension. If that doesn’t make since it’s ok because I hand trouble coming up with a sentence that could convey what I meant.
