Writing is important because not only does it help us through school and work, but it also helps to broaden our vocabulary, increase our knowledge, and expand our imaginations. Writing is also something that can be made more of a hobby rather than a chore as well.

Many professors assign writing prompts that seem to be annoying or boring, but I think that they want us to find a way to make it enjoyable… so I always try to put my own spin on my literary masterpieces.

Honestly, I am unsure how I would convince my ten-year old that writing is important. I would most likely try to instill them with the thought that if they become a better writer now then it will help them in the future.
