This I Believe
I believe in doing what you love, whatever it is. If you don’t do what you love, I believe your life won’t be worth living. It won’t be fun or make you happy. Some things I love doing are going to concerts and being with friends. I also think a job should be based around what you love. I love science. Even though science is a very general topic, I’m hoping to narrow it down in the next year to something I really enjoy learning about. Once I have decided what that specific thing is, I hope to persue a career in that area, doing what I love. This I believe.
One hard thing about doing what you love is figuring out what you love. I’m sure I don’t know everything I love, seeing as how I’m only 18, I still have a few things to figure out. One thing I’ve always wanted to do is ballet. People always come up to me and ask me if I am a balerina, people I don’t know. I always tell them no and think I wish I had persued dancing earlier in my life. I think I would have been really good at ballet. So I guess, I also believe that you should try new things, that way you can decide what you love.

This is a great theme. I like the idea that you can find new things to love throughout your life. My mom, at the age of 50, decided to begin rowing, and found something that truly makes her happy, so I think you are really onto something here. I wonder if there is a specific reason you believe this? Especially in a time and country where people are driven by money, not love for their career , this belief is far less common than we may think. I have many friends who chose their careers based on income, rather than what would make them happy, so you may want to explain why you believe this.
