From 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, Bowling Green State University Firelands College will host the 46th Annual College Night.

High school students and adults will have the opportunity to obtain literature and speak with admissions representatives from a wide variety of colleges, universities and schools of nursing.

“Researching college options is a critical step in the process of selecting which higher education institution to attend and BGSU Firelands is pleased to offer this College Night to aid the community in that process,” said Assistant Director of Admissions and Financial Aid Cheryl Chafee.

Information tables from more than 60 colleges and universities will be in the main conference room of the Cedar Point Center.  The program is free and open to the public.  Parking is available in the Cedar Point Center lot adjacent to the building.

Forty-eight institutions of higher education in Ohio will participate in the program this year. Colleges and universities participating include: Ashland University, Baldwin Wallace University, Bluffton University, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green State University Firelands, Bowling Green State University ROTC, Capital University, Cedarville College, Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland State University, Defiance College, EHOVE Adult Education, Hiram College, John Carroll University, Kent State University, Lake Erie College, Lorain County Community College, Lourdes College, Malone University, Marietta College, Mercy College of Ohio, Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Muskingum University, Notre Dame College, Ohio Business College, Ohio Dominican University, Ohio Northern University, Ohio University, Ohio Wesleyan University, OSU Agricultural Technical Institute, OSU Mansfield, Otterbein University, Owens Community College, Sandusky Area Health Education Center, Terra State Community College, The School of Advertising Art, Tiffin University, University of Akron, University of Cincinnati, University of Findlay, University of Mount Union, Ursuline College, Virginia Marti College of Art & Design, Walsh University, Wilberforce University, Wilmington College, Wright State University, Youngstown State University.

This year numerous out of state colleges will be represented including: Adrian College, Albion College, Eastern Michigan University, Eastern Michigan Aviation, Florida Institute of Technology, Gannon University, Hillsdale College, Mercyhurst University, Michigan State University, Oakland University, Robert Morris University, Siena Heights University, Thiel College, Trine University, University of Saint Francis, and Ursinus College.

“Traveling to visit dozens of colleges is time consuming and can become costly for families; however, at the BGSU Firelands College Night, prospective students will have the chance to speak personally with representatives from more than 64 colleges and universities,” added Chafee.
