Huron, Ohio – In celebration of Black History Month, Bowling Green State University Firelands College Theatre and the Student Theatre Guild will present staged readings of Francis X. Kuhn’s “Voices of Freedom Summer” on February 10 and 11.

Inspired by a collection of photographic images from the archives of the University of Southern Mississippi, “Voices of Freedom Summer,” is a powerful piece of theatre that documents the widespread efforts to register African-American voters in Mississippi during the summer of 1964.

The presentations will feature BGSU students, faculty, staff, and community members.

The cost for each presentation is $5 per person at the door and there will be no presale of tickets.

Performances will be on Tuesday, Feb. 10 and Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in McBride Auditorium at the BGSU Firelands Huron campus.
