Berlin Heights resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands
Huron, Ohio – Constance Marie Brown of Berlin Heights has received the Mack Snyder Rau Memorial Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. Brown will receive $845 towards tuition for the 2014-2015 academic year.
This endowed scholarship was given in memory of Mack Snyder Rau by Alice W. Rau, David A. Rau and Norman D. Rau. The scholarship is made available to students pursuing a bachelor of liberal studies degree who are from Erie County. Both freshman and continuing students are eligible. A “C+” average, school and community activities, and financial need are considerations for this award.
Brown graduated from high school in 1980. In recent years she has served the community through involvement with Erie County Court Appointed Special Advocates, Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio, Rotary Club in Bellevue and Sandusky, Firelands Positive People, and Women’s Network of Erie County.
She is a senior majoring in liberal studies at BGSU Firelands where she has been on the Dean’s List and she is a member of the National Society of Leadership and the Visual Communication Technology Organization. She has been inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta.
She is married to Robin L. Brown and she is the daughter of Donald Waggoner and Sandra Marshall.

Norwalk resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands
Huron, Ohio – Linda J. Cole of Norwalk has received the Sally DeForest Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. Cole will receive $722 towards tuition for the 2014-2015 academic year.
This scholarship was established by the Sally DeForest Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. This scholarship is available to graduates from all high schools in Huron and Lorain counties and Edison High School. It is available to full- and part-time students.
Cole is a 1977 graduate of Perrysburg High School.
She is a junior majoring in respiratory care therapy at BGSU Firelands where she has been on the Dean’s List.
She is the daughter of Richard and Margaret Cole.

Milan resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands
Huron, Ohio – Kirsten Ann Hall of Milan has received the Phi Delta Kappa Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. Hall will receive $1,000 towards tuition for the 2014-2015 academic year.
Established by the Firelands College Chapter Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity, this scholarship is available to students at either campus of BGSU pursuing a teaching degree in the field of education. Graduates of a high school in Huron, Erie, or Ottawa counties who have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours are eligible.
Hall is a 2013 graduate of Edison High School.
She is a sophomore majoring in inclusive early childhood education at BGSU Firelands where she has been on the Dean’s List.
She is the daughter of James and Julie Hall of Milan.

Huron, Ohio – Janet Ann Keiffer of Huron has received the Alta M. Croll Memorial Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. Keiffer will receive $1,703 towards tuition for the 2014-2015 academic year.
This endowed scholarship is available to full- and part-time students, with preference given to women who are resuming their education.
Keiffer is a 1977 graduate of Edison High School.
She is a senior majoring in liberal studies at BGSU Firelands where she has been on the Dean’s List.

Norwalk resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands
Huron, Ohio – Sydney Jean Kramer of Norwalk has received the James E. Cole Memorial Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. Kramer will receive $1,420 towards tuition for the 2014-2015 academic year.
This scholarship is available to seniors from Norwalk or St. Paul high schools. High school academic achievement plus potential for scholarly success in college are primary considerations for this scholarship.
Kramer is a 2014 graduate of St. Paul High School where he earned varsity letters for academics, cross country, and track. He was also involved in basketball, Key Club, and Make a Difference Day. In his free time he was involved with Huron County Jr. Fair Board and Ridgefield Country Kids 4-H.
He is an entering freshman majoring in human services at BGSU Firelands.
He is the son of Matthew and Kelly Kramer of Norwalk.

Overstreet is a 2007 graduate of Norwalk High School.
She is a sophomore majoring in computer networking specialist at BGSU Firelands where she has been active with the Student Theatre Guild and the Society for Fandom and Gaming. While in college she has been inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta, Phi Eta Sigma, and National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
She is the daughter of Roger Overstreet and Sally Barlow.

Sandusky resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands
Huron, Ohio – Summer Madison Seitz of Sandusky has received the Clarissa Ann Givens Memorial Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. Seitz will receive $1,469 towards tuition for the 2014-2015 academic year.
This endowed scholarship was established in memory of Clarissa Givens, a Bowling Green State University student. This award is available to both full- and part-time students.
Seitz is a 2014 graduate of Perkins High School where she was active in National Honor Society and varsity sports including basketball, golf, and softball. Through athletics she earned recognition as a member of the 2012 state championship golf team, she a member of the 2013 second team All-Ohio in softball, and she received the 2010-2014 Pirate Award Varsity Softball.
She is an entering freshman majoring in radiologic technology at BGSU Firelands.
She is the daughter of Brian and Jill Seitz of Sandusky.
