Castalia resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands
Huron, Ohio – Tyler B. Dupont of Castalia has received the DeBard Family Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. Dupont will receive $1,009 towards tuition for the 2013-2014 academic year.
This scholarship was established by the Robert DeBard family. DeBard is the former dean of BGSU Firelands and a retired professor of Bowling Green State University. This scholarship is awarded to a full-time student pursuing a degree in business or education, who is from Erie County. Financial need and a 3.0 GPA or better are preferred.
Dupont is a 2010 graduate of Margaretta High School.
He is a senior majoring in business at BGSU Firelands where he has been on the Dean’s List and he has been a tutor in the Teaching and Learning Center.

Port Clinton resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands
Huron, Ohio – Shelby Nichole Grubb of Port Clinton has received the William J. Parker Memorial Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. Grubb will receive $1,536 towards tuition for the 2013-2014 academic year.
This endowed award is available to students who are enrolled on a full- or part-time basis.
Grubb is a 2009 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
She is a senior majoring in early childhood education at BGSU Firelands where she has been on the Dean’s List and is a member of the Firelands Chapter of the Ohio Student Education Association.
She is the daughter of Gary and Jill Gray.

Port Clinton resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands
Huron, Ohio – Danielle Nicole Krupp of Port Clinton has received the Pauline L. Wallace Memorial Schoarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. Krupp will receive $382 towards tuition for the 2013-2014 academic year.
This scholarship was initiated by Wallace’s daughters, with the support of relatives and friends, in recognition of her professional prominence and dedication in the field of elementary education.
Krupp is a 1996 graduate of Port Clinton High School.
She is a senior majoring in early childhood education at BGSU Firelands where she has been on the Dean’s List. In 2010 she received the Port Clinton City School District Flagship Award. Her community service has included being a Port Clinton PeeWee Cheerleading advisor and a volunteer at Port Clinton City Schools.
She is married to Peyton Krupp and she is the daughter of Jerry and Cathy Davenport of Port Clinton.

Huron resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands
Huron, Ohio – Emily Christine Smith of Huron has received the Buckeye CableSystem Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. Smith will receive $1,051 towards tuition for the 2013-2014 academic year.
This endowed scholarship is available to students who reside in Erie County.
Smith is a 2012 graduate of Edison High School.
She is a sophomore majoring in inclusive early childhood education at BGSU Firelands where she has been on the Dean’s List.
She is the daughter of Andrew and Christine Smith of Huron.

Sandusky resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands
Huron, Ohio – Lesley E. White of Sandusky has received the The Murray and Murray Charitable Foundation Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. White will receive $1,000 towards tuition for the 2013-2014 academic year.
Established in 2007 by the Murray and Murray Foundation, this award is available to residents of Erie County with preference given to graduates of an Erie County high school. Recipients must have a 3.0 GPA, show financial need, and demonstrate contributions to school or community through organized or independent efforts.
White is a 2010 graduate of Walled Lake Northern High School, Walled Lake, Mich.
She is a junior majoring in criminal justice at BGSU Firelands where she has earned an associate of science and she has been on the Dean’s List.

Port Clinton resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands
Huron, Ohio – Danielle Nicole Krupp of Port Clinton has received the Fred Deering Memorial Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. Krupp will receive $500 towards tuition for the 2013-2014 academic year.
This scholarship was established in 2011 by Margaret Deering to honor the memory of her late husband, Fred Deering. Deering successfully combined managing his thriving agricultural business with his love of politics and public service. This scholarship is available to a junior or senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrated financial need, and is actively engaged in community service. Preference is given to students who intend to pursue public service after graduation, either as a career or volunteer activity.
Krupp is a 1996 graduate of Port Clinton High School.
