Computers Are Important For The Classroom
PART ONE: My Thoughts…
I think computers are important to have in schools because it allows students to research for specific information that is from different parts of the world, therefore, having different perspectives of the subject. Computers also make it easy for students to communicate with professors and other students when it comes to the classwork and other class related activities (Blackboard and Email). Different perspectives allow for a more well rounded understanding of the subject and, therefore, a well rounded student.
PART TWO: To A Blind Date…
I would first ask what he thought about computers in the classroom and go form there (age and if he attended college are factors)…
I think computers are important to have in schools because makes things easier for students in an already stressful environment. It lets students to research for specific information that is from different parts of the world, therefore, having different perspectives of the subject. Computers also make it easy for students to communicate with professors and other students when it comes to the classwork and other class related activities and questions (email). Different perspectives allow for a more well rounded understanding of the subject, and a well rounded student.

As if a blind date weren’t awkward enough, I’m asking you to start a conversation about why computers are important in schools 🙂 Nice work, Ashley! It’s clear you thought through how you might approach this topic in an already unfamiliar situation. I’m sure it makes sense that some blind dates might transition to this topic, but as you point out, age and whether education is a part of his life would also matter. I do like how your text is casual which makes sense for the situation. Thinking about why your audience will care about your topic is important and clearly you did that here. Nice work.
