Final Project- Contract

1.For the final project, I want to combine a popular trend of today with stories of the past. I will be answering the questions: “What if folktale characters had had access to social networking sites? What would they have posted?” The images will depict scenes inspired by Russian folktales. Even though the images will be showing people from another time period, their actions will reflect those of people in the present. There will be an underlining message/ connection.

2. I will primarily be using photo manipulation to complete this project. Royalty free stock photographs will be my imagery’s source. When necessary, I will digitally paint some elements.

3. There will be four images depicting four different scenarios that are/ might be found in a Russian folktale. Some examples are the tickling rusalka, the cursed wedding party, the flying devil snake, and the drinking of mead. Each image will be presented as if it were posted on a social networking site complete with a caption, hash tags, and the poster’s picture and username.
