Project 3 – Revised Idea

Freedom –

A ball is looking out a window at the top of a house. He sees a beautiful sunset over the fence enclosing the yard. He is so mesmerized by it, that he falls out of the open window. He sees the sunset again, and decides to make his way there. He falls down a gutter pipe, climbs a slide, hits a few other yard articles including a croquet mallet set. He knocks it over and gets flung into a hole in the fence. The fence falls backwards and he gets shot right out and hits the sunset right in the face. He slides down the billboard picture of a sunset, and falls over in defeat.

Project 3 – Ideas

For the “How Do I Get There?” project, I haven’t decided on a ball or legs yet. However, here are my two possible scenarios:

1) Freedom – A ball trapped in something (a box, or something hard to get out of), wants to get out of it’s “cage” and see the world. It’s three obstacles will be:

a) Get out of the box through jumping or another method like knocking it over

b) Get across the backyard, find a shortcut if it’s a ball…if legs then there will be tall items or other things that get in the way

c) Get over/through the fence and off to freedom (“the sunset”)

_

2) Partners – **the 2nd character wouldn’t move — it’s just for a goal** The ball or legs creature is searching for it’s partner who is trapped in a box on the other side of the room. It has to overcome obstacles like:

a) get to a high place and search — find the partner

b) get across the room, past chairs and tables…toys, etc.

c) get into the box with partner

Project 2 – Obstacle Course

I tried to keep the modeling simple while giving the ball an interesting course to follow. I tried to add sound effects to make it a stronger piece overall.

Project 1 – Final Revised

This animation took me quite a bit of time and patience. It was my first time making any animation, so it was tough. I tried to keep with the main beats of the song, and added background color as the song got further. I had some problems with After Effects, but I got through them and here is the final video.

Project 1 – Research
