Project 3 Scenarios

1. An apple falls from a tree and tries to get back up.

Obstacles: The branches are too high for him to reach, he doesn’t have any arms to climb the tree, and when he does manage to climb the tree it will be hard for him to balance because he doesn’t have any arms, and some of the branches are thin and flimsy.

Possible scenarios: The apple see a park bench nearby and tries to jump on one of the nearby tree branches. He sees a piece of chewed gum nearby and puts the gum on the bottom of his shoes so he will be able to climb the tree without arms.

2. A paperclip tries to return to its original container that is located on high shelf.

Obstacles/possible scenarios: The paper will start on a desk and make its way up to the shelves. As a result it will have to try and climb objects that are much taller than him in order to get to its container. Some of the objects may topple over and block its path.

Project 1:Animopt

The music in the animation is from Garageband. I used Adobe audition to convert the mp3 file of the song into a WAV file and imported into Maya. The animation process was separted into two stages: the beginning and the final stage.

Changes made since the first stage: 1. Added more flowers/rotating objects and  lines trailing the pathway of the flowers/rotating objects. 2. Changed the flowers from pink to red and added ambience to give the aobjects a more 2D look. 3.I modified the design of the flower a little to give it a more detailed look. 4. Since I added more rotating objects I decided to change the trajectory of the white balls,so that they would land inside of the spinning objects 5. I added spinning petals to the rotating objects on the end.
