Literary Reference Center and Children’s Literature Comprehensive Database

I am posting two literature databases today.  One is a huge, general literary databases and the second is for Children’s literature and related material.

Literary Reference Center Plus (EBSCO)

 Coverage: Antiquity to present

 Literary Reference Center (LRC) contains information on thousands of authors and their works, including author biographies, plot summaries, literary criticism, and even some full-text literary works. It also contains detailed information on the most-studied authors and their works, combining information from major respected reference works, books and literary journals to provide plot summaries, literary criticism, authors’ biographies, articles from literary journals, and book reviews. It also contains thousands of full-text literary works and several full-text literary reference books.

 

Children’s Literature Comprehensive Database

Coverage: 1993 to present

The Children’s Literature Comprehensive Database includes over 300,000 book reviews from 37 sources and related information on children’s literature. Children’s books in the CLCD can be searched by subject, age level, and genre, and the database also offers over 60 best books lists, annually-updated state reading lists, teaching tools, and reading measurement programs.
