Revision is an in depth version of proof-reading. Revision allows you as an author to analyze your material and evaluate if it coincides with the thesis or purpose of the paper. It is a way to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses in any type of work or activity. You conduct revision by taking time away from the material that you have been working on a revisiting it at a later date. By taking time away you as an author are able to have a fresh perspective on your material and provide new ideas to support your underlying goal.
