Today in class we got to explore outside of the place that we have been the past two weeks and go out where other avatars(not from class) were at.  I went to a place called Dove shopping, where I was able to buy a number of items for free.  I bought shoes and clothes, however am still trying to figure out how I put them on my avatar.  Im starting to get the hang of secondlife, but it will be awhile before I’m totally comfortable navigating the site!

Secondlife on TV

The first time I had ever heard of anything doing with secondlife was in this IPC class.  I have never heard of the website or the fact that it was so popular.  However, last week I was watching MTV’s show True Life and the topic was about people who lived different lives on the internet.  One of the girls that they followed around was talking about her life on secondlife and how she can be someone completely different there then she is in the real world.  She even met her boyfriend on secondlife.  I just found that to be interesting because I had never heard of secondlife before, and then I saw it on MTV!

1st experience

My secondlife experience was fun because I could change the way my character looked and there were lots of options to choose from. Also I could make the character fly and run around. I can also see other people from my class doing the same thing on the screen. I was like a fun computer game!

Hello folks! I’m Amanda Rose Congin from the great city of Cleveland, Ohio! I like to hang out with friends, go out on the town, spend money, EAT, sleep, play games like cards, mario and nintendo DS and I love to go on vacation. I hate the cold and I love the warmth. I want to live in a warm state one day and I hate Ohio. My secondlife name is acongin mefusula! I picked mefusula because it reminds me of Mufasa from the Lion King!
