Week 9
This past week over spring break I was able to complete a basic template using Word & send it off to my client as a pdf for them to give me feedback on what they like/didn’t like and what else they would wanted added. It isn’t as I planned, I was hoping to not have to attach a PDF each time my client sends an email, but this will be the only free way we’re able to do a weekly newsletter update. Time to start looking at more content and ideas for the website!

Good for your productivity over break! I wish I could say the same myself. It may be annoying having to attach a PDF for every email you send but you are right, a free way to update your client is better than taking time to see them in person. My client’s are my bosses where I serve so I just talk to them every time I work which is super convenient.

You should ask Lauren Berlekamp how she created the latest Erie Fresh newsletter. It was an in e-mail file. I think she used the service, Constant Contact (www.constantcontact.com). This might be an option for your client.
Let me know if you would like to see the e-mail.

Jenna mentioned Constant Contact, and I have to agree that it would be a good option for your client to use. Constant Contact newsletters are one of things I have to put together on a regular basis for my co-op with United Way of Erie County, and not only do they have a wide variety of their own templates available to use, you can also implement your own template design and work from there by just adding in the content you want to include.
