Toys
The reason that I think I liked the toys I did because it gave me control over them. It gave me the mind that I was different, and could do other things. What attracted me to them was that it let me do things to them that they did not do on T.V. or in the show’s.
The toy that I use to play with as a child was the small toy soldiers. They were a great toy that aloud kids to do what ever they wanted with them. You could have them do what ever you wanted. Things like fight each other and, also you could blow them up. My father started me at a young age to blow them up. As a young age he would make model cars and blow them up, so he then let me and my brother have live action combat. If someone threw a smoke bomb we really threw a smoke bomb.
Another great thing about these toys is that they were very cheap. Over the years that may have gotten a little more expensive. But they have also stayed the same low price. They are one of the greatest toys that you can do almost what ever you want. Even if you break one you can buy another one.

When looking at the 2009 Christmas toy list it showed that Tickle Me Elmo TMX was at the top of almost every list. It is a very high tech. toy. That one of the thinks that I think separates the generations toys. Toys now a day do so many things. When I was young they might not even have bend and we still had fun. Of course we could also blow them up and not get in trouble but now it may be different. Elmo is also a big character to younger kids. That may be one reason that it is a big thing.
Over the years toys have gotten bigger and can do more. One reason I think that toys are so popular are because the see them on T.V. they want them in there house. Also toys can do so much more. Looking at some of the toys out these days makes me want to be young again.
Another reason they are so popular because it lets a child run the show and be something they are not. In T.V. shows you get to watch but your not running everything that is going on. So this lets them to what ever they want.
If I was a child this year and asking for a toy it would be the transformers. I use to love to watch and play with them. Robots were always so cool to me. The transformers were so cool it was like having two toys. You could play with them with hot wheels, then make the transform and destroy them.
Also since the new transformer movie just came out they are in my mind. I would actually go out and buy one if they were not so much and I had money. They toys know they have out are even better then when I was young. The robots look better and the cars or planes that they transform into look a lot better.
Things that make a toy know a days special or exciting that kids want can be many different things. Such things as something they have never seen before. Such as a toy that allows you to move a ball with your mind. Another would be something they see on T.V. or something that they see someone else have.
Many other things that I think would determine if a toy is good would be that it is futuristic. Things you seen in movies that are know out and you can get. Also other things that you might see your friends or people in movies. It always seems to go back to T.V., if its on T.V. then its seems people want it. And I don’t mean like a commercial but a T.V. show for example Elmo of Sesame Street.
