In September and October of this year, ProQuest has implemented several enhancements to its database platform, which we use for 10 of our databases, including the Historical New York Times.
Users with personal accounts on ProQuest – called MyResearch accounts – can now create and label shortcut links to a single database or to combinations of databases. Check out this My Research video tip or LibGuide for more info.
Users can now limit results to full text, peer reviewed, or scholarly journals through a “narrow results by” pane on the results page.
Finally, the advanced search for Vogue Archive now lets users search and browse potential matches for several image search fields, like photographer/illustrator, fashion item, etc. (For now, unfortunately, however, the photographer/illustrator list appears to be in alphabetical order by last name instead of first.)
