The Libraries are pleased to share two important changes to our access to the published scholarly literature of the earth sciences.

First, the database GeoRef is now available on the EBSCO platform. Secondly, the full text of 48 important geosciences journals – many of them new subscriptions for BGSU – are now available through GeoScienceWorld.

The EBSCO platform links indexing for the international GeoRef index to full text in GeoScienceWorld and other journal platforms like the OhioLINK EJC.  It also makes GeoRef cross-searchable with other databases in the sciences that are also available on the EBSCO platform, such as Environment Complete.

The journals on GeoScienceWorld include important titles such as American Mineralogist (1976 to present), Geology (1973 to present), GSA Bulletin (1918 to present), Journal of Sedimentary Research (1931 to present) and PALAIOS (1986 to present). All are full text and can be searched on the GeoScienceWorld platform both in conjunction with and separately from GeoRef.
