New OhioLINK loan rules took effect this week that allow longer checkout periods for faculty members and more renewals for all borrowers. All users now will be allowed up to six renewals, even on things that are already checked out to them. Faculty will be allowed to keep items for 42 days at checkout, and each renewal will also be for 42 days. Faculty members renewing items that were checked before this week will receive a 42 day renewal period for each of those items as well. Students will continue to be able to keep things for 21 days at checkout, and each renewal will also be for 21 days.
