New Trial: 17th-19th Century American Periodicals

The Libraries are currently trying out two sets of full-text historical American periodicals on EBSCO.

The American Antiquarian Society Historical Periodicals Collection provides digital access to magazines and journals published in the United States since 1691, from the collections of the American Antiquarian Society in Massachusetts. Series 1 spans the pre-Revolutionary era through 1820 and Series 2 covers the period of Jacksonian democracy, from 1821-1837.

These collections are extremely comprehensive, including popular magazines and unique, short-lived titles covering a wide range of subjects, such as agriculture, education, religion and science.

The trials will be available through June 30, 2010. Access these collections from our Trial Databases, History, or News pages.
