Geeze I wouldn’t be able to tell you how thankful I was for Thanksgiving this year. It was exactly what I needed. I was just overly stressed, sleep deprived and I am pretty sure I started speaking in tongues because I was hallucinating – I did not think any one person’s life could be so busy.
$1,475.00 – that was where I started with funds for my meal plan at the beginning of the semester on August 20, 2010. As of October 27, 2010 I had a balance of 2.62 dollars. Hmmm…problem…YES!
Geesh…if I get any more work piled on my plate I think I am going to BURST INTO PIECES. Basically, here’s the deal…since I was sick, I missed EIGHT DAYS STRAIGHT of GSW (I don’t recommend that btw) …and I had to write this paper on “Speculating Causes” or whatever, and it was just a pain in my butt!! But I finally got the dang thing done and turned it in today.
Well…if none of you have been lucky enough to be sick on campus yet…then…I HATE YOU hahaha…no I don’t…but I envy you. I was lucky enough about two weeks ago to come down with what I thought was just a “common cold”…but if you didn’t catch on by the mood of this piece…it mutated…into meningitis and let me tell you IT WAS NOOOTTTT FUN AT ALL!
We all go through them…we all hate them. It’s the problems of love that make our hearts weary and our eyes teary. …sigh…that’s what we do … sigh and hope to feel better at the end of the day. But!! I am here to help a little…just a little…mind you I am going through these problems so OBVIOUSLY I am NO expert by any means but I can offer the helping hand.
Fall Break has come and gone, and though I did not go home because I was touring with the amazing Bowling Green Men’s Chorus, I have heard so many stories of how some first year students feel like a stranger in their home when they finally go home for more than just a weekend.
Geesh!!!! I had NO CLUE how different homecoming would be in college compared to high school. I did know that I would not have the problem of having to ask someone to the homecoming dance, but I did know that I would have to find a group of people to go to the game with ha. Well, in my case, it was choosing the group I wanted to go with. Of course, I chose to go with my two best friends I have here at BG. It was one of the BEST days I’ve had here. The day before all of the homecoming festivities began, there were all of these beautiful decorations on the second floor pavilion area of the Jerome Library - all of them a little symbol of appreciation for the awesome alumni.
When you’re a kid, everything is so easy. When you want to make a mud pie, you go and find some way to do it. You have time to spend on doing nothing with your friends. By the time you reach middle school, you start going through changes and you have your best friend there to give you any support, or the much needed random laugh of the day so you can make it through. By the time you get finished with the hellish hole of high school, you and your best friend(s) have gone through so much that there is no way you are letting them go because you love them like they were practically birthed from your mother.
It’s a little overwhelming when you enter college. I have been here at BGSU for about five weeks now, and it just dawned on me that in this such short amount of time, I have made a name for myself.
It is a funny thing when you are expecting one thing, but it ends up being another. Isn’t it just wonderful when the media molds your thinking process into what they have soley “informed” you of?
