This past week I’ve been doing a lot of thinking. If college is going by this fast, what does this mean for the rest of my life? It’s over halfway through November, I’ve been here three months, and I only have three weeks till exams (which I only have one of—definitely okay with that). I’m still stuck in September, third week of classes, where I called my boyfriend at least once a week telling him to come pick me up. I’m starting to think that it’s not going to be as bad as I thought.

A friend of mine, Kevin, makes trips to Meijer some weekends to grab groceries. Like me, Kevin is less than satisfied with dining hall food. I have no issues with the wide selection at the Sundial, of course, and I’m a regular at Jamba Juice. However, if it’s the middle of the night and the vending machine in Harshman is down to potato chips and weird breakfast foods, I have to search hard for good food.
Geesh…if I get any more work piled on my plate I think I am going to BURST INTO PIECES. Basically, here’s the deal…since I was sick, I missed EIGHT DAYS STRAIGHT of GSW (I don’t recommend that btw) …and I had to write this paper on “Speculating Causes” or whatever, and it was just a pain in my butt!! But I finally got the dang thing done and turned it in today.
So, I know I’ve written about being sick before, but this week, I was sick enough to miss classes. I missed three classes and work this week, which was kind of worrying to me. Luckily, I haven’t just skipped classes for fun. Because I’ve saved my absences, I am not facing any real consequences for not going this week. I know some people who have skipped classes often because they don’t feel like going. All of my classes have pretty strict attendance policies so I’ve avoided missing classes all semester.
Well…if none of you have been lucky enough to be sick on campus yet…then…I HATE YOU hahaha…no I don’t…but I envy you. I was lucky enough about two weeks ago to come down with what I thought was just a “common cold”…but if you didn’t catch on by the mood of this piece…it mutated…into meningitis and let me tell you IT WAS NOOOTTTT FUN AT ALL!
We all go through them…we all hate them. It’s the problems of love that make our hearts weary and our eyes teary. …sigh…that’s what we do … sigh and hope to feel better at the end of the day. But!! I am here to help a little…just a little…mind you I am going through these problems so OBVIOUSLY I am NO expert by any means but I can offer the helping hand.
I decided to get involved in my first extracurricular organization and join the group BGUndead. Now BGUndead is basically a giant game of tag where there are two teams, the zombies who do the tagging, and the humans who try not to be tagged. The humans use Nerf guns and balled-up socks to defend themselves from the zombies who try to turn the humans into zombies by placing one hand on each of the human’s shoulders.
