Tuesday, September 25, is Christopher Reeve’s birthday. In one of his most famous movie roles, he embodied the DC Comics character and became our Superman. Much has been written about the character of Superman and the BPCL has a good selection of resources from which to choose.

Christopher Reeve later became a real-life superhero with his tireless work on behalf of those with disabilities similar to his.

In remembrance.

September is National Library Card Sign-up Month, but all you need to view something in the BPCL is your BGSU ID (a.k.a. BG1 card). As we are an archive/repository, our materials are in a closed area. You will not be able to “check out” our materials as you do on the first floor, but you can look at them up here. Most everything we have is cataloged in the BGSU Libraries Catalog. For more information on how to use the BPCL, consult the Basics of Using the BPCL page.

We do, however, have a growing collection of DVDs that do circulate/check out for 3 days. To see what we have, do a title search in the BGSU Libraries Catalog or browse by local call number, then limit/sort your search to the Popular Culture Library.
