The Sentinel-Tribune in Bowling Green is seeking a student general assignment reporter who will have the opportunity to tackle several different beats in a growth-based internship opportunity. The right candidate must be a creative self-starter, thorough, and willing to ask the hard questions and not stop until getting the story. Knowledge of AP style is a plus. This opportunity will also include training into other areas including design and multimedia publishing, as time and/or need allows.
Platforms used include:
- InCopy
- InDesign
- BLOX content management systems
- Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
Tasks would include, but are not limited to:
- General assignment reports
- Beat development
- Spot/breaking news
- Page layout
- Page preflight/production
This internship can flexible around a student’s schedule, as long as general reporting is met for daily production needs. This internship also can be tailored to meet the requirements of BGSU internship/credit standards.
