On behalf of Senator Sherrod Brown, it is my great honor to invite Bowling Green State University undergraduate students to apply to participate in Propel Ohio: Collegiate Leadership Summit 2016.
Additional information about this year’s conference and the application can be found at https://www.brown.senate.gov/propelohio
Propel Ohio is a leadership program that promotes civic engagement and inspires undergraduate students to grow into civic leaders in Ohio. Last year, over 250 students and administrators from 60 colleges and universities attended the inaugural Propel Ohio.
Propel Ohio 2016 will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016, at the University of Dayton. It will actively engage college students on issues that affect childhood poverty, including health and hunger, education, and housing security. Senator Brown, guest speakers, and workshop facilitators will discuss how college students can tackle these challenges in their Ohio communities. At the end of the day, there will be a Resource Fair where students will connect with organizations that are addressing childhood poverty all across Ohio.
Each of Ohio’s two-year and four-year public and private colleges and universities is invited to appoint up to three undergraduate students in addition to your selected host committee student. The deadline for students to apply on Senator Brown’s website is Friday, September 16, 2016. Applications will be shared by Senator Brown’s office with each applicant’s school.
If you are interested in applying for this program or need assistance with an application please contact
