French Film Thursday

La Maison Francaise (French House) invites you to join us for a FREE film this Thursday, March 19, at 7 p.m., in 007 Kohl Hall. In honor of the International Day celebrating the Francophone World, we will be showing a film from Senegal, called Faat Kine.

Faat Kine is a single mother with two children, two ex-husbands, a pushy mother and an assortment of friends. She is the manager of a sparkling new gas station, but her success has been hard-bought. Nonetheless, she values her control over her own life, and tries to balance modernity with tradition. (YouTube.com)
