Working through collaborative Group 2: Andrea Voogd, Paul Hofmann, Aaron Carpenter, Frank Kohler, Wes Parsell allows parceling of reading assignment(s). PAWS is the article of choice and a synthesis from the various adaptive tools was provided to the group’s Google Docs area in the cloud. However, while adaptive technology assists learners in acquiring, deploying, and assessment it must use good pedagogy that combines with context. The mere use of assistive and/or adaptive technologies will not circumvent good pedagogical design. However, PAWS provides for a reduction in operational costs to the University of Pittsburgh and its participants. Therefore, PAWS adaptive technology will broaden the audience, lower cost of higher education, and provide security as means for controlling access. PAWS will provide postsecondary institutions with alternative technology from which to ensure relevant future learning design.
