I completed my PLE and finally have it posted. I once again used screenr as the format to add sound. I continue having problems with the audio skipping creating breaks in the ostentation. After numerous attempts I gave up and posted what turned out to be the cleanest version. My PLE is not the most creative in terms of presentation but provides basic insight into what My professional and personal interests are. I plan to experiment with tools such as slide rocket and and jux.

I am beginning the research phase of creating a PLE. This is a new concept for me. My interpretation of a PLE is something like a dash board that provides easy access to links/sites and convenient updates. I plan to create a PLE using symboloo and include several links to sites I frequent. Possible site are LegalClips, MSNBC, OSBA, OASSA, Linkdin and Dropbox for starters. I plan to put together a presentation using symboloo and sreenr, but this may change once I get into the project

I must admit, working through, uploading and posting our assignment has been a challenge. Utilizing the screenr app and synching with our prezi show has been a test to my patience. Between the slide show freezing during recording sessions and synching conversation with slide show has been a time consuming and challenging endeavor. I must admit, the process has exposed me to a realm of tech I was unaware of and most likely would never attempted. For that reason, the activity was worthwhile

I am beginning to work to work on my persoal learning project. I am somewhat confused but I am sure upon further review it will begin to make sense. Not sure where to locate example projects. I need to spend more time on Canvas exploring fr examples. If I can not find them–Im in trouble!!

I have been reading Groundswell and find myself enjoying section 2 chapters 4-10. I find it fascinating how business can and should utilize different tech tools such as blogs, twitter, community frm sites and other social media outlests to reach out to customers. Compnaies are creating more intimate relatiuonships with their current aND potential cutomers. It is the next best thing to face to face conversations. It has certainly changed the way marketing and advertising takes place. I look forward to continued reading aa well as creating a presentation.

Our debate group have a productive planning session on 2/7.  Our initial post team has created a solid argument focusing on a historical look at tech., leading to how tech as led to a “different” types of intelligence. We look at developing digital and fluid intelligence. The development of these aspects of intelligence discuss the increased problem solving and critiacal thinking abilities one can gain from large amounts of easily accessible information.

I look forwar to hearing the other teams argument.

Google debate..I listened to a video clip discussing brain research and found the information fascinating. Researchers placed digital natives and first time digatal searchers in an MRI to scan brain activity while conducting digital searches. Those with experience diosplayed much more brain activity than those searching for the first time.

Like anything, cautious use of google/internet, along with other forms of activity, i.e reading of printed word, human interaction/collaborationis the most productive ways to incorporate new, emerging technologies with our everday activities is the best way to expand our knowledge base.

Our debate team discussed a plan of attack for our debate postings. The group responsible for teh first posting will have ideas composed and submitted to Stephanie by 2/5. She will collect all info and upload to voice thread.

Iam going to review the you tube video and compose talking points. The theme to the argument..Google/tech is not making us less intelligent ..is that we are developing a new kind of intelligence. Tech will allow us access to huge amounts of information and lightening speed to problem solve and to think critically.
