Children’s Book Memories: The 90’s

Thanks to a great assignment from the GSW classes, we’ve had a run on children’s titles that were popular in the 1990’s.  Some of the top picks this year have been:

Anything by Dr. Seuss.  From the Grinch to Horton to Cat In the Hat, this generation has warm, fuzzy feelings about all things Seuss.  That or Seuss is the only author’s name they can remember.

Rainbow Fish  by Marcus Pfister.  The shiny fish who gives pieces of himself away to make others happy is also enormously popular.  Not sure the message is that great, but the shininess is awesome.

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff.  This little gem could explain why people are never satisfied with what they have.  Like this mouse  they always want more, more, more.
