National Information Literacy Month

Information literacy is the ability to find, retrieve, evaluate and use information in many different forms–a life skill for the digital age. Information literacy is important for college courses, of course, but you can use these skills for your lifetime in researching topics of personal interest, too.

October is National Information Literacy Month. At least fifteen states have issued proclamations making October their state’s information literacy month, too.

Come to the library or use our on-line resources to brush up on your information literacy skills.   Need to know more? Ask a librarian.
