Finalists for YA Nonfiction Announced

December is here and, in the library world, that means the beginning of the American Library Association’s award season.

Last week, the Young Adult Library Services Association announced this year’s finalists for the YALSA Award for Excellence in Nonfiction for Young Adults. To qualify for this award the book must be a work of non-fiction and published specifically for young adults (aka ages 12-18) between November 1, 2009 and October 31, 2010. The five nominated titles were:
