Finding World Language Materials in the CRC
We have children’s books in languages beside English. Many titles are available in Spanish, while smaller selection is available in French, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Swahili and Chinese. In the catalog use the phrase “Spanish language materials” and limit to the CRC.
Yes, picture books can and should be used to make curriculum connections with middle school and high school students. Check out the book “Picture That! From Mendel to Normandy: Picture Books and Ideas, Curriculum, and Concepts for ‘Tweens and Teens” This new 2009 title has 62 lessons that you can use to teach science, social studies, language arts and more.
