Visual Periodic Table for Chemistry Teachers

hydrogenVisual Elements is an arts and science collaborative project supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry.  Each element has been artistically rendered and the site allows students to click around the Periodic Table of Elements and gather information.  Students learn about each element such as the discovery date, name origin, and a description.  Additional chemical data (e.g. source, uses, physical and chemical characteristics) are also available.

Teach Fractions, Percents, and Decimals in a Snap

One Thousand Book Reviews

The Cooperative Services for Children’s Literature announces that as of July 9 there have been 1,000 book libraryreaderreviews posted on their CSCL Book Review Blog. Local schoolchildren, BGSU students and classroom teachers have all contributed reviews. Children’s publishers donate new books and the books are reviewed through the Bringing Books to Life program offered by the Curriculum Resource Center and Arts Unlimited. Additional reviews are contributed by BGSU students involved in Children’s Literature classes and the Summer Academy.
