Course Statistic Reports are a great way to monitor student activity. You can generate reports to see which Content Areas get the most traffic, and how often students are participating in their Group space and Discussion Forums. Your search can include the whole class for general usage, or a selection (1 or more) to monitor a smaller batch of students. Check in periodically to see which students might need a little more motivation.
TIP: Make sure to scroll all the way to the bottom of your Overall Summary to see which days and times have the most activity! This could help you plan collaborative activities and live presentations.
If a student drops your course and requests a refund, the Office of Registration and Records may ask that you provide detailed course statistics for that student to keep on file. Watch this tutorial to learn how to create that report for Registration and Records.
Blackboard can report student activity in your course through the Course Statistics tool in the Control Panel. This tutorial will show you how to compile the data for that report and briefly explain the statistics available to you.
