Last fall, we experienced the collapse of the US financial industry. Quickly and intensely, the industry changed its shape, with some firms taking over other firms and other companies ceasing to exist. One of the firms that filed for bankruptcy during this collapse was Lehman Brothers Holding Inc. Now, former Lehman Vice President Lawrence McDonald will be speaking on campus to provide an insider’s perspective. This will be a great opportunity for us, as MBA students, to learn from what McDonald experienced while in a leadership role at Lehman. I am definitely looking forward to attending this event at the student union on Thursday, as my professor from my capstone class is starting class an hour later in order to give us the chance to go.
