Wow this has been a hectic week to say the least. Project wise I would say it has been a pretty successful one although my client has been out of town on business the whole week. The main thing I have focused on is getting most of the video clips I will need to piece together my video. I have been in contact with the production company who made the original video for Libbey. They were more than willing to give me all the raw footage which was an awesome surprise to me. The one problem I had is that they edit in AVID which requires a different CODEC than Final Cut Pro (*I edit on FCP). So they have been converting the footage for me over the past week and I am heading there to pick it up first thing in the morning.

As far as our reading went, I really enjoyed the authors attitude toward the book and the subject of project management in general. I like the idea of if you genuinely want your team to succeed and care that will be enough. He takes that same attitude in the preface of the book. He states he knows some parts will be boring to some people and he encourages you to read the parts that help you. Its kind of a nice way to go at a subject as dry as project management.
