The Final Story, and beyond in great hurry

The onset of fall break is provoking some misgivings about the temperature and generally what is going on in the world, that is the exact reason why we have Batman, or some other hero with anti-hero traits…anywho to the story at hand as it is in its “Final Form”

Cut into a Gary sitting at his computer playing around(Think computer game SFX will be created and generated to express this properly), he reaches for a bag to find it empty. Gary then rises from his chair to go to the kitchen. Upon arrival in the kitchen he opens up the fridge and begins pulling out all sorts of bottles and ingredients and puts some hot dogs on the counter next to the oven range.  Closing the fridge he faces to the oven range to commence cooking. Picking up a frying pan he scans over the buttons available to him on the range judging which button to push. He pushes them all with nothing happening on the range. His puzzled look is almost instantly removed as he hears an ice cream truck outside as he rushes from the room with a “faint” hissing sound present to the audience hearing it. Rushing through the living room, past the fire place, and out the front door to catch the Ice cream truck. we cut to him walked away from the truck with an ice cream, fudge bar, in hand as he turns to see a flash follow in the house from the fireplace back into the kitchen. As the gas ignites and onsets an explosion in the house of fire. Thus launching from the house his hot dogs fulling cooked and smacking him in the face.

Final Story, possible?

Maybe, maybe?
Cut into a man sitting at his computer playing around(Think computer game), he reaches for a bag to find it empty. So he rises from his chair to go to the kitchen. Upon arrival in the kitchen he opens up the fridge and begins pulling out all sorts of bottles and ingredients and puts some hot dogs in his back pocket. Then closes the fridge to commence with the cooking. Picking up a frying pan he walks over to the oven range and scans it over judging which button to push. He pushes them all with nothing happening on the range. putting the hot dogs on the counter next to the fridge with a “faint” hissing sound present. He walks into the living area with the frying pan and holds it in the fire some of the food spills out and land between the carpet and the fire, and then the batter charcoals and catches fire catches. Distracted by a sound in the kitchen the man misses the floor as it catches on fire and then realizes that his trailer is on fire and flees the place as it is consumed by fire in a dramatic leap from the house. Watching the whole place burn down he’s freaking out and puts his hands on his head. Thus the explosion in the kitchen launches the pack of hot dogs frying through the fire&flames to the ground right infront of him. Thus he leans down to pick up the hot dogs cooks by the explosion and eats as his mobile home burns down infront of him.
Character design to be added when it can be scanned…as well as floorplans.

/: update found – Process display:On.

1. Character is an ebay pirate alias of “JerryWonKenobuy,” real name Jerry Horsancule. He is roughly caucasian with italian introduction of 9%. He is reported as being grossly overweight, as his prime body weight is 165lbs to his height ratio. He exceeds this by an additional 120lbs. This is due to the lack of exercise and a diet subsisting of high calorie burritos, cheetoes, fried foods, and hot dogs.

2. Jerry’s goal as of the moment, is to improve his personal score of ebay to its highest level, meanwhile making the lives of several people misserable via being a auction pirate of buying out a sale before the auction closes. Also to eat is another prime goal in his life.

3. An inciting moment for Jerry is a growl of his stomach, which is compared to that of a low rumble of thunder in volume and vibrations. Also he is out of cheetos.

4. The rate of conflict as it arises for Jerry is a dispute of getting up and trying to figure out the stove. Then catching fire to his trailer home as he makes a fire in a barrel.

5. Jerry’s reaction to fire is as follows in the fight or flight format, though his out of shape body doesn’t allow him great speed of movement his speed of thought is somewhat relaxed til this moment. So his actions of leaving his trailer are comparable to a antelope fleeing a cheetah in mental speed.

6. Jerry could truly benefit from learning to eat less undesirable food and thinking less with his stomach.

7. He is in his underwear outside the coals of his mobile home.

8. Humor.

10 Characters.

Right now, I’m sure there is a request that the characters be animated in origin for this, but I don’t read those exact words so I’m going to work through that loop-hole and supply myself with sources of animated and live-action character subjects for the purpose of variety. Also will supply my commentary as to why I find each character interesting.

Iron-Giant, more or less partial inspirato for JAMR-KD in certain aspects of design, but other reasons as well.

Ironman, A.K.A. Tony Stark,

Lorne, character in Angel,

Animal, A walking ID.

Blues Brothers,

Angel, Vampire with a soul,

Calvin, Calvin & Hobbes,

Little Nemo, Windsor McCay (1900 to early 1910’s), The characters portrayal as all the adventures he achieves in his dreams in slumber land. The art of the comics are what initially caught my attention, but it was the content of strips that I find more interesting than anything. Recently found out that Nemo in latin meant, “Nobody.” So that certainly added in a dark sense to the strips as I read.

Toshirô Mifune’s portrayal of of the character Yojimbo,

Toshirô Mifune’s portrayal of the character Kikuchiyo,

Jar-Jar Binks, The great destroyer of all things…I’m joking he’s not in anyway inspiring.

Concepts in detail

So fleshing out so of these concepts I ended up choosing, number 7 as my main choice to work with, but there are questions I will have here and there to work out with it. Number 3 is the other I’ve chosen to put work to.

So I worked on number 7 with heavy interest and have found I made a plot for the piece already, while on vacation this past weekend, and even worked a little bit on the robot’s design. Plot is as follows: Late one night in a factory a radio is left on. Inside one of the robot workers, JAMR-KD, comes out of sleep mode and finds itself compelled to dance. This brief slice of heaven is enjoyed by JAMR-KD until the factory is flooded with light as a short, stocky factory worker comes in through a door and over to the radio to turn it off. Passing JAMR on both ways in and out, who is frozen in place with the exception of his eyes moving to watch the worker. JAMR goes back to his station and shakes his head an returns to sleep-Mode. The next day working in the factory JAMR-KD’s hips swerve and move to every tool dropping or enviromentally created beat. Then a worker notices something is up and turns on the radio, which leads JAMR-KD to being discovered. That’s all I have thus far.

  1. The robot wants to express his new found talent of rhythm.
  2. Late one night in a factory a radio is left on.
  3. A factory worker comes in and comes to turn the radio off.
  4. Robot JAMR-KD, has to hide hide talents being afraid of what the humans may do to him if they find his new talent and fear him for it.
  5. JAMR-KD finds himself tempted and proceeds without realizing it to dancing in the factory at the whim of a factory worker testing a theory he had about the robot.
  6. JAMR-KD is accepted and dances away happily!

It is a story about a JAMR-KD(lead character) who wants to be able to be happy(goal) that forces him/her to take Hide is talent in rythem. He/she meets with an escalating array of Scenarios and temptations (obstacle) leading to a final temptation and his being happy cause he can dance and fit in.

Number 3, Not much I can add to this as its simple and more or less just meets bare minimum for what the course ask for a project of design. I don’t have as much love in it as I do for number 7 as I do now. I may revisit it and supply more thought and detail to it, but for now its just, “meh.”
  1. Man wants food.
  2. his stomach growls and therefore is hungry
  3. He needs to cook something so he has to use a frying pan.
  4. Fire erupts in the kitchen
  5. Fire Bad!
  6. Man puts out fire only to find his pancakes a block of foam covered ash.

These ideas that live inside my head.

So captain hammer came by today and threw a car at me…In all seriousness here is the ideas I’ve contemplated with.

1. Bar of Chocolate and a tub of Peanut butter are walking down an alleyway with hand and hand. When a jar of Jam comes out and kills the tub of peanut butter. Cut to a scene later of a peanut butter cub in a basket being placed on a doorstep of a building in the rain.

2. A male student is having a nightmare of the worst day in all existence for a guy in college (Failed exams, girlfriend dumps him, ect.). Then at the end wakes up to his alarm going off.

3. Man is hungry. He goes to Kitchen to cook something to eat. While his back is turned on the heating up pan a fire erupts. He is then forced to find a way to put it out.

4. Student is sitting in his desk in a classroom while a prof is teaching. His attention begins to sway away from the moment and he wanders into a bizarre landscape that he wanders and experiences whole new things. In the end he is snapped back to reality with a ruler slapped at his desk infront of him by the prof.

5. Man is on an airplane as a series of events being to occur in his imagination or dreams. In the end he is calmed by a priest sitting next to him or a woman.

6.Robot discovers is has a sense of rhythm. It does it’s best to hide the fact, but eventually gives way after being tempted to do so. This results in its happiness being achieved.

7. Perception of time. Person working late on a project. Every so often is looking at the clock in despair as the clock works on grinding what’s left of his sanity til he finally break and passes out as the dawn arrives.

8. A mouse stares across a kitchen, but between it and the prize of the cheese is several obstacles. These obstacles are a cat and several pitfalls, which the mouse overcomes via its use of its wits and intelligence to achieve its goal.

9. boy gets lost in the sand dunes of Michigan and finds himself in an adventure to get back to his family.

10. Planet Earth is floating around the sun. It is alone in the galaxy as all of the other planets have been silent for so long. So Earth makes a cry out into the universe and waits for a reply. The reply comes back after a long time, maybe in a paper airplane or something.

11. Little Girl is in an airport with her bear wondering when her parents will come pick her up and they can go. Soon enough people take notice of her and she gets nervous with the people coming up to her from time to time so she moves from the spot. Then her parents come by to pick her up and freak out. A stewardess comes and finds her and gets her back to her parents. Play on fear of being alone.

12. Bull Dog sitting in a junk Yard wants to be a blues singer.

This thing on?

Fall 2008 I’m using this blog to note my advancement through the class of 413 Character Animation and what ever may arise from my delving into the next stages of the digital arts field.
