EXT. OFFICE BUILDING

A large OFFICE BUILDING stands set up from the street. The sky is grey with a look of rain approaching.

In front of the OFFICE BUILDING a BOY wearing a pendent can be seen standing and holding up a sign that reads: “STOP THE WAR”.

HERBERT enters the scene from the left, walking up towards the office building and stops for a moment as he passes the BOY, turning his head towards him. HERBERT looks at his watch and a rushed look comes over his face as he hurries inside.

INT. OFFICE LOBBY

HERBERT enters the LOBBY of the office building adorned with some chairs and a coffee table and heads towards the ELEVATOR at the far end of the room.

HERBERT presses the up arrow button and the ELEVATOR dings as the doors open. HERBERT enters the elevator and turns to face the LOBBY.

INT. ELEVATOR

HERBERT reaches over and presses the 32ND FLOOR button and the doors close.

The ELEVATOR hums as the buttons light up for each floor, one through eight. The ELEVATOR stops humming and dings as the button for the 9TH FLOOR lights up. The ELEVATOR doors open to show the same BOY from outside standing in front of the ELEVATOR with another sign that reads: “STOP THE WAR BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!”

INT. 9TH FLOOR

HERBERT stares at the BOY with a confused look on his face. HERBERT reaches over and presses the button for the 32ND FLOOR again and smiles awkwardly at the BOY as the doors close.

INT. ELEVATOR

The ELEVATOR begins to hum again for a moment and then stops and dings as the button for the 11TH FLOOR lights up. The doors open and once again the BOY is standing in front of the ELEVATOR holding another sign that reads: “STOP THE WAR! TIME IS RUNNING OUT!”

INT. 11TH FLOOR

HERBERT gets an angered look on his face as he glares down at the BOY. HERBERT looks at his watch as his face turns to panic. HERBERT quickly presses the button for the 32ND FLOOR several times as the ELEVATOR doors close.

INT. ELEVATOR

The ELEVATOR door closes, and begins to hum upward as the floor buttons light up one by one as HERBERT calms down. The ELEVATOR stops humming as the button for the 20TH FLOOR lights up.

HERBERT hides in the corner as the ELEVATOR lets out a ding and the door opens to show the BOY’S pendent and sign lying on the floor.

HERBERT frantically presses the 32ND FLOOR button numerous times while still in hiding. A few seconds pass and the ELEVATOR door remains open and HERBERT slowly leans to peek out of the ELEVATOR.

INT. 20TH FLOOR

HERBERT’S head slowly comes into frame looking down at the floor and then steps into plain view.

HERBERT looks down and sees the BOY’S pendent and protest sign lying on the floor and looks around the room for the BOY. HERBERT bends down and picks up the pendent. HERBERT looks back down and reads the sign as his face turns to sadness. The ELEVATOR door closes as HERBERT is frozen stunned.

CAMERA pans down to view sign

Sign is lying on the floor and reads: “28,000 children die each day due to war related incidents.”

INT. 32ND FLOOR

The ELEVATOR dings arriving at the 32ND FLOOR. The ELEVATOR door opens but no one is inside.
