In this article, the author is discussing the topic of new media. New media is the use of not classically conventional objects as a medium for art. The main focus of this article was computers, and digital art. As time has gone on, the computer and the software that goes along with it have become very common tools for artists. Digital art has become more prominant and has gain considerable recognition in the arts community. It’s becoming almost a medium of the future, seeing as many artists have migrated to the digital relm and moved away from more traditional media.
In my opinion this move from traditional to digital is inevitable. Everything is done digitally now-a-days and this migration isn’t really a bad thing. There will still be pleanty of traditional art to accompany the digital, seeing as the demand for both is rather high. Someday, a combination of the two might be common, and in high demand.
