Almost there!

I have been working on the website, its close to being done. I just have been running into a few problems with the code. But other than that it is turning out well! 🙂 Below is a basic screen shot of the template (before anything has been changed) that the client has chosen for me to edit for his other website. I think it was a great choice! Keep in mind that it does not look like this now, the images are all focused on weddings, so keep that in mind! 🙂

Hope everyone had a great semester and get ready for fall! 🙂

End of the semester

The only thing that still needs to be completed is the website. There has been some trouble with just the HTML/CSS coding and I getting help with that. But other than that, the brochure is complete and the client loves it! 🙂 This semester went by so fast! Thank you Laney for the great class!

Brochure

Things are going well. The brochure is complete and ready for printing. As far as the website, its still under construction but will get completed even once the class is completed.

I thought I would show what the brochure looks like. It is different than what I showed in the purposed and color schemes, but the client is pleased and so am I.

Coming along

I have really started the process of putting together the template that my client ordered to the WordPress Site. And it is actually a little tricky to come to find! But im working through it and learning a lot about the process in itself! Which is always good! The brochures are almost done which is also amazing! 🙂 Other than that, i am not sure if the website will be completely done by the end of the class, but if not, it will get done for my client, a) because i promised him, and b) i work for him already!

Things are going.

I am currently finalizing up my designs to present to the client for the brochure. I will hopefully have them up within the next week. Other than that, the website seems to be going well! I have not had very many problems, so far! So lets keep our fingers crossed! The facebook page is gathering more followers which is paying off the advertising on our personal facebook pages!

So far so good for everything!

Week 2

We started getting online with the website! Exciting stuff actually! Finally got it synced with GoDaddy.com so the host site is all in order! This is going to be my main focus because i usually do not work with websites too often. Although currently i am enjoying it, so far!

As for the brochure, i have no touched it yet. That is actually the goal for this week. I plan to have at least 3 different versions created by the end of the week to present to the client so we can choose one and go from there!

Happy 3rd/4th of July everyone!

Week 1

This week the client and I picked out the Template for WordPress that we are going to re-design the MyWeddingPhotog.com with. He wanted to stay consistent with WordPress since Artona.com is designed off of WordPress. I created a Facebook page for MyWeddingPhotog.com to keep the friends he has for the Artona Facebook posted with with is going on with the other website. Pictures were added to the new Facebook page and some of the past weddings we have done have been posted.  There have been a few likes to the page, but that is expected due to the size of his company.

MyWeddingPhotog.com

This week I started my client work with Artona Photography located in Toledo, Ohio. Artona Photography is strictly a wedding photography company that has been around for the past 20 plus years. They started in the days of film and converted to digital when that was the new trend.  Since they are a company that has been around for a while, the purpose of what I am doing is to re-vamp their website MyWeddingPhotog.com to make it more modern and appeal to more clients.

The first thing that is needed for MyWeddingPhotog.com is a new template. Since he already uses Word Press for his main website Artona.com, we want to keep this consistent so when I am done with the website, he can update the site himself with no problems.  For this template, he requested that I find something that has some flash elements, is modern, and has some nice layout. Simple, yet effective. I have also created a Facebook page for MyWeddingPhotog.com to post pictures of recent weddings to keep our followers up to date on what we are doing.

The next thing that my client asked for was to re design his wedding brochures with the information pertaining to the wedding packages and so forth. For these, he wants to include a simple graphic element while keeping the information simple and neat.

Throughout the semester, I will be updating the Facebook page, re designing the brochures and website at the clients requests.
